Applications in the field of intelligent transportation

As is well known, intelligent transportation systems play an important role in improving the informatization, intelligence, integration, and networking of traditional transportation systems. In addition, intelligent collection of traffic information, flow, noise, road surface, traffic accidents, weather, temperature, etc. ensures the mutual communication between people, vehicles, roads, and the environment, thereby improving the efficiency, mobility, safety, accessibility, and economy of the transportation system, and achieving the effect of protecting the environment and reducing energy consumption. The sensor network composed of sensors can provide effective means for information collection in smart transportation systems, detect vehicles in various directions at intersections, and improve signal control and traffic efficiency based on the detection results, truly solving the problems of safety and smoothness that plague urban traffic. In addition, what are the other applications of sensors in the field of smart transportation?

1、 Energy efficiency of fuel

As oil prices continue to rise, how to improve fuel efficiency and achieve conservation and energy-saving effects is an increasingly severe problem faced by enterprises or institutions. Sensors can improve fuel efficiency. In addition to the efforts of oil manufacturing and transportation companies, optimizing the powertrain, engine, or gearbox is also an important direction with great development potential.

2、 Emission regulations

With the increasingly widespread and persistent haze weather in China, reducing PM2.5 to improve the air and environmental health index of cities is a top priority. To this end, the country has introduced a series of policies including addressing the issue of automobile exhaust emissions. In fact, in cities, the emissions from construction machinery may be more severe than the exhaust emissions from cars.

At present, the number of construction machinery in China is approximately 3.3 million, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and cranes used in construction sites in cities. The emissions from one excavator are equivalent to the emissions from 30 cars. This year, China will issue a National III standard with emissions equivalent to Euro III, which will be upgraded to National IV in the coming years. In order to meet the requirements of the new generation of emission regulations, the electronic control system of related construction machinery engines needs to be controlled more accurately, which requires the use of more sensors to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction.

3、 Production efficiency

In a market where the situation is not very stable and growth is not very rapid, every enterprise is thinking about how to improve production efficiency. In today's increasingly mechanized world, machines are powered by either electricity or fuel, and intelligent transportation will make a big contribution to improving efficiency. Therefore, intelligent position sensors that can help vehicles improve production efficiency will have broad development prospects.

4、 Regional infrastructure construction

The demand for infrastructure construction in the region is a force that cannot be ignored in driving the growth of sensors. Although the Chinese economy is currently in a period of moderate development, with the acceleration of urbanization, the construction of domestic transportation and other infrastructure will emerge like mushrooms after rain, which will promote the rapid growth of automation products and solutions. Especially in the context of developing smart cities, sensors as part of automation products will have a very broad market.
