NPE is a large-scale and long-standing Plastics Exhibition in the United States, and it is also a grand event in the plastics industry. Since 1946, it has been held every three years. Up to now, NPE has maintained a steady growth in terms of exhibitors, exhibition area, scale and number of visitors. NPE is sponsored by SPI. Founded in 1937, SPI is the third largest manufacturing industry association in the United States. SPI members come from the entire supply chain of the plastics industry, including processors, machinery and equipment manufacturers, and raw material suppliers.

The vast majority of Chinese exhibitors appeared in the form of teams, with more than 300 mainland Chinese enterprises participating. Customers are mainly concentrated in Ningbo, Zhejiang, Xiamen, Fujian, Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu and Kunshan. At the same time, some enterprises from Tianjin, Northeast China and Ningxia also participated in the exhibition. The exhibits of mainland enterprises mainly include plastic machinery, molds, rubber raw materials and additives.
